I normally write about wildflowers, but I have noticed so many spectacular spring flowers around Boise in the past couple of weeks that I wanted to highlight some photos of flower gardens. In particular, the irises that I have seen have been simply sublime - the richest of colors and so exquisite in their detail and beauty. Boise residents are growing such beautiful irises, so enjoy these photos!

I can hardly believe that this time last year, I was arriving in the City of Trees, strolling along the Boise Greenbelt in awe, and taking photos of the river. In some ways, it feels inconceivable that a year has gone by, but in other ways, the amount of things I've done and places I've gone in Idaho this past year seem impressive. It seems like a common theme that individual moments and days can seem slow, but years fly by. Thanks for sharing these Bonnie! Iris here have done really well here too and I am adding new colors to my yard as I find them. They are an old-fashioned staple to a yard and a welcome site each Spring.
